Panzer Dragoon Orta

One of the best exclusives on the original xbox next to ninja gaiden black.

Panzer Dragoon Orta still remains the best looking Xbox original game. Orta is on-rails as were some of the earlier entries on Sega Saturn, minus Saga. The premise is very straight forward and the controls are smooth. A remake of the first Panzer Dragoon is available for Xbox Series X/S, but I've not played it. However, Orta is worth the price because it includes a port of the original Panzer Dragoon game as a unlockable.

One of the better Panzer Dragoon games in the series. Not to be confused with the RPG Panzer Dragoon Saga. Orta is an action on rails shooter with very good gameplay and beautiful visuals. Can get challenging in the difficulty department, but very rewarding at the same time. Sega needs to revive this series!

The best of the Panzer Dragoon series, RPG or no, and woefully overlooked even within series discussion. And personally my favorite rail shooter of all time. It's fast, difficult, and has an amazing OST. It manages to add in elements from the RPG entry with on the fly transformation mechanics and choosing which form to power up and strengthen, and letting you navigate around bosses with braking and speeding up. Plus, you can unlock the OG Panzer Dragoon. PD Orta is a genuine, true hidden gem.

Space Harrier, Afterburner, Starfox were childhood greats, this came out when i was young adult & glad to be able to play this again, I wish the 2nd & 3rd would get some remaster love, even in OG graphics & music, glad i have option to replay classic games from XBOX & 360 era.
