This game is one hell of an experience. Imagine Eraserhead, Synecdoche New York, and Dogville rolled into one. One of the most bizarre and surreal games i've ever played. Heavy on philosophic themes and metaphors/symbolism. Definitely a must play, but be warned, it's highly unforgiving and not for everyone.

Personal Favorite.
Quite literally one of the best games I've ever played, And I've played many. If your browsing this game on the store, chances are you already know what your getting into. But if not then I highly recommend watching Hbombermans video on Pathologic 1 which will set you up for Pathologic 2. My personal suggestion if you decide to play the game is to try it on intended difficulty first. You will more than likely quit eventually from the frustration of the difficulty. And that's fine... After awhile you could give it another try on an easier difficulty and with your previous knowledge you should have no trouble experiencing the full depth and story the game has to offer. Also PLAY WITH HEADPHONES. Oh my god you will miss out on so much atmosphere without headphones. A good pair will also help out with certain mechanics that require you to "Listen" no spoilers though.

Pain simulator
This isnt a game where you buy things with money from shops, this is a game about having no money. This game is miserable, thats the point, did you expect a game about being a surgeon during a PLAGUE to be fun? Ask yourself this, do games have to be fun to be good? If your answer is yes then this game probably isnt for you. This game will challenge not only your perception of games (and art at large) but your character and morals as well. Truly against the grain and pushing boundaries. Occasional frame drops when looking at fire.
