Pinball FX Midnight - The Thing Pinball

Any fan of John Carpenter's The Thing and pinball will love this table. (In my opinion, there should be more Thing inspired games out there) The aesthetics and challenges within the table are in line with the movie such as fighting the dog thing, performing a blood test or the power going out on the board, making it a bit more eerie looking. There is, however, an element that hurts the vibe of the table a little bit and it's not using the voice dialogue from the movie but voice actors instead. Even though footage from the film is shown during play. It is a bummer for whatever reason it was done this way but make no mistake, it's still a fun and enjoyable table to play. An update has fixed the applied pinball skin from disappearing after choosing to replay the table and when the ball auto launches after going out, it travels at a slower speed, making it easier to hit. Otherwise, with cool Thing cosmetics to unlock and achievements, it's time to find out who isn't human.

The Thing Pinball Table is very impressive but, something is off (i'm 90% positive both Kurt Russell & Keith David's were not used instead sound-alikes which is strange since there's Universal© footage within the Table! Regardless everything else within the audio track is really good (best to play it in DTS 7.0 +) Dolby Amos has yet to be embraced within the gaming industry (you can use it but, it's not real Amos) Flippers almost perfect (make sure to turn the screen on game mode) i'd highly suggest you play the game on Practice it's 60min. flat best way to get the feel for the table (lots of hidden secrets & objectives to complete)
