Pixel Devil and the Broken Cartridge

Pixel Devil is not so much unique it rips-off alot of 1980's concepts from Captain N the Game Master to Mega Man & DuckTales but, it's fun the retro gimmick is the draw the platforming isn't perfect but, the "OG" Mega man style boss batles are actually fair the 1st Boss being a certain major Darkwing Duck villain gave me a huge smile (the only real negative is the open world map you must play each level in a certain pattern to get to that levels boss) everything else is extremely good any child of the 80's will really get a kick out of this love letter to all things 8bit (This is a great little Arcade title to end out 2019 it's also one of the absolute best Arcade/Indie games of the year 👍🎄👍

Tough 2D platformer retro/mega man. Some what easy achievements but may take some time with short hard platforming levels with 8 bit side scrolling graphics. Please fix where d pad stops working.

This is simply another 'retro' cash grab. There is some familiar ideas, characters, appearances, but in the end it's all cheaply woven together. The story is lacking, even if there was a decent idea hiding in there. Level design is lazy copies of megaman and battle toads. Bosses are knock off a from dark wing duck, duck tales, battle toads, and megaman. Completion time is around an hour if you use the cheat code, otherwise it depends on your skill and ability to adapt to the poor controls.

I'm probably giving this game an extra star for being so cute and charming. It's not the most original game but I had fun coasting through it. The controls are solid and music is decent. Extremely easy 1000 gamerscore if you're into that. So yeah gameplay 2 stars but an extra for cuteness factor. Kelli - Indie Game Hideout (Xbox Club)

Easy 1000G. Good retro music. 🌻~♪
