Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Mask of Darkness

Been hoping for DLC.....Gimmie more , Gimmie more

And the only prescription... is more Lost Crown!

100% achievements in the base game, and was eagerly waiting for this DLC. Enjoying this return so much! Great job Devs!

Good, but meager addition to the main game. Not much for a small price. There are practically no new mechanics, only a couple of new enemies and only one biome, but the final boss is nice. By the way, there were interesting jump puzzles and additions to the main story and the lore.

The Mask of Darkness DLC suffers the same illness that most Ubisoft games heavily rely upon, unnecessary repetition. The vast majority of the explorable area is littered with instant respawn segments that clearly were meant to draw out the playing time of the content and little else. The base game doesn't really respect the player or their time, and the Mask of Darkness ratchets it up to 11. On more than one occasion, I had to re-navigate entire segments because of the terrible progression and brutal save point layout. All of this could have been avoided if the slightest contact with the environment didn't reset your position every single time. I understand that this game is about timing, but it sacrifices fun for the sake of frustration. Stick to the base game. Skip the DLC.
