Old heads playing schmups since 1942 will be in heaven.
Cheap? Hell yes. Brutal checkpoints? Check. Plays and looks like rtype final 2. Has an infinite mode...still difficult. Its worth every penny.

A little disappointed but it's still a game I'd play
I was under the assumption that this game was supposed to be a remaster of a previous R-Type(s). It's been years since I played the original Dimensions but that was my assumption and my fault for not reading the description before buying it. Whenever I see a game that calls to my inner youth, I'm blinded with the urge to buy it. Heh.
