Hilarious dark humor. Yes , its difficult. Rogue likes are by nature. Its in the description, so...mechanics are deceptively simple. Visuals are beautifully weird. Soundtrack is outstanding. Listen close enough and you can pick out some ever so slightly changed classics. Amazing sound quality, not the cheesy fake retro garbage i was afraid of. While its partly satire a lot of love and nostalgia went into this. I think its great

It's fantastic. The colors. The mutations. The voice over whenever you grab money.

It's a freaking 80s apocalypse game. Were you gaining mutations from your enemies? Currently I'm running around with a snakehead. And crapping out babies. That murder my enemies. So yeah, fun.

RAD has that Borderlands art style , the exploring of Toe Jam and Earl and a fun mutation combat system. The more you explore, the longer you stay alive, the more you unlock, and learn about all the gameplay features, and how to fight each mutant creature. Each level of the game is randomly generated, and there is a nice variety of mutant creatures, and bosses to fight. The game has depth with the variety of mutations, and items you can unlock, as you level up, there is a daily challenge which is a timed run through, plus leader board. All of this adds up to another unique fun game from Double Fine, so far I have not run into any bugs or glitches, and the game is worth the $19 to play. There is a lot of replay value in the game with it's rogue like gameplay to stay alive as you explore the world , and change the environment. RAD is challenging, but addicting, health items are hidden so smash everything, learn the mutant attack patterns, and use your mutations to survive another level.

I only paid 5 bucks for this and i feel guilty. Just buy it. My only nitpick is i dont love the character aesthetic. But it's fine. Everything else looks incredible. Still playing it a year later. Still fun.
