Rapala Fishing: Pro Series

I didn't think it was possible to ruin a game but Rapala proved me wrong. I was looking forward to seeing if they would upgrade the X360 series, but that did not happen. Graphics look like they were designed on the original Xbox console. Game play is frustrating...casting is a joke...hooking large fish is nearly impossible...timed events are so short that you're lucky if you can ever complete them, and don't get me started on how horrible the avatars look. I doubt this game was designed for todays consoles. If it was, someone should get fired.

Game is nothing compared to previous rapala titles. You cant fish near rocks, dams, docks, buildings, or shallow water. The lures dont act like they should as in being top water, diving, floating or shallow runners they all go same depth and have same action. Theres a combo you enter to make lure attract fish and its a joke. Casting is limited to the front of the boat with minimal movement left to right. This game was a huge dissapointment to me becaue there is one other fishing game that i have been able to find for xbox one and have been waiting for this to release. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND IF YOU WANT A DECENT FISHING GAME TO PLAY BUY SEGA BASS FISHING ITS BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE FOR LIKE 5$

I was so excited for this game..... I gave it about 2 hours and couldn't play anymore. The mechanics are so bad that one can land 2 out 10 fish over 5 pounds. I have never played a fishing game this bad!!!!! I don't suggest this game unless they fix the reeling mechanic. I can honestly say I have wasted my money.........

Over the years I've come to appreciate the simplicity and classic arcade style and feel of this game. I now enjoy the unrealistic abundance of fish. (Muskie... Fish of 20 casts.) I also love playing a finished game with no pay walls or mico-transactions. The game is what it is, and I enjoy playing it. Cast somewhere between Sega Bass Fishing and Sim World Fishing... You got a hit! 😁

l read some of the reviews and I blame the tutorial for the difficulties people are having. At first I was spending 20 minutes to reel in big fish as well until I changed the way I played a bit. When reeling the fish in, just imagine you are trying to control the fish inside the center of the box with left thumbstick. Press left thumbstick when powerup is charged. I can reel in a monster in a couple minutes now. Really, don't wait for the fish to run to move thumbstick, istead control fish at all times. Visuals are dull, challenges can be tedious but some are fun. Nice selection of fish, unlike the carp fishing extravaganza that is Euro Fishing. Needs an online free fishing mode like Pro Fishing Challenge on the original Xbox. When will someone bring us a deep sea fishing game?
