Rogue Waters

This is a rare rogue pirate 🦜 adventure game from Warsaw Poland, it has officially become one of my favorite pirate games because the challenges are always procedurally generated and once you see how many modules and cannons and items their are in this game you'll be hooked like a big fish🎣 . Basically this game is very realistic with a touch of fantasy like sea monsters for flavor. This game is very addictive even your crew mates talk and have personalities' you can even have them rest in sick bay cabins with hammocks after a pirate raid adventure or even dismiss crew mates. Or hire new crewmates it's your choice and upgrade you pirate ship and even upgrade your favorite crew members in this game you can even upgrade a 🦜 pirate scouter looking for skilled pirates, seriously. Also currency or treasure is called glass 💎. Also movement during pirate battles ⚔️ is alot like a game of marbles where you push each other out of position. This is definitely fun⚓🧜‍♀️. 🦜 🦜 🦜 🦜 🦜

There are a number of little things that could be better, but this game is good because it gets most of the important things right. The pacing is spot on. Battles are fast but involved enough to not feel trivial. The way ship fights impact the unit vs. unit combat is unique and works rather well. Compared to most roguelites, I really liked that success was less dependent on what upgrades the RNG gives. The combat mechanic of of forcing opponents backwards totally fits the swashbuckling theme. The biggest flaw is that this game is below average (but far from the worst) when it comes to feeling like you are getting stronger with each run. There are other small things that could be better, but nothing that significantly impacted my enjoyment.

Fun pirate game made by a small dev team with a huge amount of love put into it. More people need to support games like this and definitely worth the price.

A fun grind that sees you get better every run. Ship battles lead to turn based combat with upgrades galore

So for this genre of game this is a bit pricey...but it also is more of a package it does feel like a proper game though it doesnt feel like the avg 9.99 RL style game its more like a rpg with RL elements with plenty of meta progression...so price is a possible valid sticking point for some its 30$ worth of game here dont be turned away solely on pricepoint
