Rune Lord

Game play is fast and controls are responsive. HOWEVER, if you out play the game clock and set up moves for combo's for your in game gem pool based attack's.. You'll have played yourself. When fighting the boss you need three of the same color gem matches to attack (ie: Three sets of red, yellow, etc..), if boss isn't fully on screen, your attack doesn't count. If you set up for a combo and then shuffle the board your gem stack (that would have been set 3) doesn't count. Additionally, cursor wraps game board and is easy to lose track of - as well as the blue and cyan gem are easy to confuse [i'm not color blind, they are just that similar]. Achievements are not hard to obtain.

Game is really fun 4 stars. -3 stars for the following... The game has bonus objectives in some levels that once completed earn you coins. These are used to upgrade your power ups. Good idea... but glitched. I have had a dozen levels glitch making these impossible to earn so I can no longer upgrade. NOW I load up the game and watch it sync to the cloud wiping my save file. Only 5 levels from completion and 10+ hours I won't get back. Garbage!!! If it doesn't work don't release it.

"Rune Lord" has some good stuff going on. Power-Ups & Spellcasting, both of which are upgradable. Missions that range from rune collecting to boss battles. My biggest problem is the difficulty curve: Stuck on level 33 of 60. Overall, unique experience with some issues.

Hexic 1-2, Bejeweled 1-3, Jewel Quest, Ancient Stories: Gods of Egypt...and now this! Great relaxing puzzle game. Easy achievements. Thank you.

It's fun for awhile, I'm stuck on level 55 (90% of the way thru the game) and can't find any tactic that works. It's an odd match-3 game, halfway thru the game if you keep trying to match 3 then you are going to lose...miserably. You have to keep pressing the Y button to reshuffle the board (which you can do as much as you want). Then the game becomes just press Y to win, as bigger matches will line up faster that way. Then later you have to look for matches of 4 or more b/w each spin, then on level 55 absolutely no tactic works anymore. I think it used to be easier years ago considering over half the players have beaten this game that now seems impossible to beat. Who knows? Good for a few bucks, but you might hit a wall late-game.
