Its not like most fighting games, its more about timing.
All moves sets are online, quarter circle front&back, forward or back +punch. This game had movesets on arcade, but back then you kept secrets to beat other players in arcade. Sfiv movesets work, just try, or google, great game. People forget easter eggs were found by looking, its more fun figuring games out. Game guides can ruin the rush you get from exploring and trying.

Classic arcade fighter
Dated game now but it was great back in 1994.

Near-perfect 🤏🏾
It's a 4-star game for me because (though it's just a modernized arcade game) I feel like it's very light on content (with just single-player Arcade Mode & online multiplayer).
However, I know that it's a game originally produced in 1994.
But gameplay-wise, for what this version of SamSho II DOES offer, it's worth picking up and playing if you just want to play a fighting game.
*(PS: It runs smoothly and has decent graphics, too 🤷).

Not that good...
I know, Samurai Shodown 2 is nostalgic for most people, but what it really needs is a move list and a training mode, because it would be a lot more accessible to new players that way. And SNK, please bring Samurai Shodown 6 and KOF 11 to other consoles besides PlayStation consoles! They're the best SamSho and KOF games out there, especially in terms of their rosters. We gamers would be so happy if you do it! ;) Anyways, this game has quite a bit to live up to, but the nostalgia still hits (if you loved it as a child) when you play.

Ahead of its time.
Awesome fighter. So many features, secrets, so much character and charm. Look up a faq and the details will surprise you.
