Simultaneously control a sword-wielding robot and a gunslinging space frog in Shoulders of Giants, an explosively colourful sci-fi roguelike. Play alone, with a friend, or as part of a four-person team, cutting through waves of enemies on a quest to rescue the galaxy!
Great Game. Think “risk of rain 2” but smaller, less chaotic encounters. Great for solo play as well, with well balanced challenge. Worth every dollar.

I Love Roguelike Games
Why have I never heard of this game before. Thank you Microsoft store for recommending me the game based off of other games I play and while on sale at that. Plus the game is still reciving updates and has more to come. P.S. I really dont like Risk of Rain but love this game, put hours in first time I played.

100% 10hr review:
SoG is a solid game, but lacks the continuous long term appeal/replayability of its nearest comparison: Risk of Rain 2.
SoG gets a lot of thing right. The Mech/Frog toolbar and abilities are satisfying to use, but lack some variety and punch in that you'll find the 4 or so that work best for you, and anything after is just added DPS/Support or useless.
The Co-op is fun but lacks the competitiveness of RoR or other similar titles and gives the host almost too much control.
The story is lackluster but you don't really play games like these for the story, it's the gameplay that draws you in.
Weapons, like abilities, also need greater variety. I stuck with one type of sword and gun nearly the whole playthrough as everything else, even higher grade versions, felt weak/pointless.
As others have said, the crafting needs big improvements. Often times the tiers never go up, very likely/guanteed don't occur, and I've actually had stats go down.
Customization is great.
For 10-20, it's worthwhile

Familiar, yet refreshing roguelike goodness
First, its ROGUElike. ROGUE. Not rouge. Rouge is a color. And a character from Sonic Adventure 2. Man that drives me bonkers. Aaaanywho... What I hoped for was something to fill the void while waiting for the Risk of Rain 2 DLC (so salty about that) to finally hit console, and this is definitely that. Its not a Risk of Rain clone by any means, but I don't think its trying to be. If you've played that or Arcadegeddon, it will *feel* familiar, but it has its own identity and pacing. Graphic style its cool. Music and sound is appropriate. Control is smooth and buttons can be remapped. Seems like there's a fair amount to find/unlock to keep things interesting. Plus there's a big "roadmap" button on the front page, showing they plan to support this title. I'd say this is a big win in today's gaming landscape, and for only $20. If the devs think they are "riding on the shoulders of giants" with this game, the humility is respectable, and the effort is appreciated. *AFFIRMATIVE ROBOT NOISES*
