Tons of levels which will scratch your platforming itch. The retro aesthetic will delight old school gamers, as well entice any completionists yearning for something fresh. Tight controls and wonderful chip tune soundtrack as well. With hundreds of levels and different campaigns, you are getting a ton of bang for your buck.

It's crazy & strange but in a good way. This puts gameplay over glamour & it's great if you just care about gameplay. Even has an arcade room (with multiplayer), I just unlocked it's version of Doom to play. Don't judge the look (though I love it), has a modern feel with good level design, fun mechanics & great controls. Has some good retro audio too. Core game is like something from an arcade machine, a good one. There's much more than just wall jumping over the hazards such as rooms underwater, tricky portals & pinball like bouncing for a few examples. Then there's the town (with a playable arcade) that's an extra in it to access any time. I'm still discovering what all is packed in this. I see lots of settings, using defaults atm. Many adjustments can be made to the limited colors, which serve a purpose. VERY colorblind friendly. I don't like being rushed though it's not bad (yet). Messages between levels go by to quick too. Otherwise, great game, hoping doesn't get too hard.

if you're looking for a tough (but fair) challenge this is the game for you, 100% old school platforming that will have you on the edge of the chair trying to reach the end of the level...pretty much the opposite of Ratalaika games for achievos, you will put A LOT of effort to only gain 10 or 15 points but it will feel so satisfying

Slime-San is a platforming game based on infinite lives with almost as many ways to die. In each level, you must navigate through a set of screens to an exit area, avoiding dangers (helpfully red in color) while using your dash and slow-motion techniques in new or inventive ways. As you advance, you steadily encounter new challenges, helping to extend the gameplay without it becoming stale. You can also race the clock or hunt for collectibles, and there is an 'expert' mode that changes each and every level to be harder, if you enjoy a challenge. The graphics can be offputting, but if you get past that, the limited color palette lets you know what can kill you or not. The difficulty gets rather high as well, needing a full understanding of the game mechanics for the hardest levels. But if you stick with it, there's around 40 hours or more of content for you.
