Combat, story, better than expected. Like a lost PS2 action game in the best way possible

In a world where nobody wants to make new franchises and take risks, the Silent Hill team did just that. It is not horror but has those themes, and plays like something from the golden era of PS2 character action games. That is exactly what I needed. It is glorious. Yamaoka's sound and musical work alone make it a must buy for anyone who grew up with the team's older games. Stuff like this is the sole reason I still own a console.

Not gone lie, when it was first announced i was definitely expecting it to be more horror. But its more so a horror themed action game. With the horror aspects centering around body horror/parasicital possession. But the story so far is awesome and intriguing. And the way the body swap mechanics play into the combat and overall gameplay is unique as all hell. Plus its partially based on Kowloon. Im obsessed with the place, but again its a different kind of setting for games and media. All in all, i love this. Its incredibly unique and charming. Its not a triple A big budget game, but its not a game made by some asset flipper in a garage. Its perfectly balanced, as all things should be.... Jokes aside i recommend!

Been playing since monday night eary access ands amazing. This game is brutal horror action with good humor as well. Collecting rarites, leveling up, fast combat with a focus on deflects (yes they said they were inspired by From Software). Its a totally unique game. It even has sight jacking like siren. Great Game! Oh and awesome soundtrack!

Very creative game with an incredible art style, music and theme. It's a horror themed action game with a weird story. You play as a floating yellow spirit thing that can hop from body to body taking control of people. You fight against creepy monsters that can take over people's bodies. Disturbing theme and topics. It's all about loosing your body to supernatural entities and the mundane like prostitution, cults and the criminal underworld with a touch of science fiction elements. If you want weird and a little bit of jank, i'd say get it. Also music by Akira Yamaoka. 💖
