You'll get better cosmetics and the bonuses are the same. Also, starter cosmetics give less bonuses, but only if you have them on. Meaning if you prefer the cat poster on your wall like I did, you lose a 3% bonus. IMO, it should automatically give the highest bonus you own (typically 5%) regardless as to which you have on so you can enjoy them aesthetically.
