SolSeraph

Never thought I'd get another ActRaiser game--spiritual successor or not. ActRaiser is one of my top 5 all-time favorite SNES games and SolSeraph fills the nostalgic void perfectly, warts and all. The platforming is stiff but serviceable and only serves as a (thankfully short) distraction from the far more interesting town building, which is where you also get the meat of the story. Graphics are good. Music is great and captures the feel of the "original." ActRaiser fans won't be disappointed, but it's hard for anyone to wrong at $14.99.

We all know what this is and if you dont...you will! Good graphics, good frames, good artwork and music too. Wish they had analog for walk and run, but everything else is perfect! Have it for PS4 and had to get it here too!

I was 13 years old on the Christmas morning that I first experienced the masterpiece that is Actraiser on my brand new SNES. I am now 42 and have waited patiently for a game that will give me more of that glorious blend of side-scrolling action, city building simulator and god game all perfectly rolled into one package and topped with possibly the greatest soundtrack ever put to a game. And with the release of SolSeraph, I was filled with hope that Actraiser (at least in spirit) had returned for myself and a new generation to enjoy and experience its unique blend of contrasting yet somehow complimentary gameplay types. SolSeraph delivers on the varied types of gameplay and each one is competent enough to be fun at times, but it falls quite short of being the successor to the legend that is Actraiser, in gameplay and especially in the music. One can argue its unfair to compare SolSeraph to Actraiser, but that is exactly what it is trying to emulate so comparison is just. Verdict: Buy it

Its not great and not bad. Needs the controllers tweaked and the response is laggy. It looks good sounds nice and at $14.99 it wont break the bank. Its the closest thing to a spiritual successer to the SNES game ActRaiser we may ever get so its worth a try and i hope it improves. I got no real regrets with buying it as of yet. With updates it can be great and even spark a new series.

It is Actraiser 2019 just as it appears. I loved that game thus the 4 stars. But it is not 2019 quality or it would be 5 stars.
