I'll make it brief and get the boring part of the review over with: Sonic gens is the same game as before, now with 3 save slots, some more options for stuff like button mapping, and a slight graphical boost (mostly in color). 40 achievements worth 1000g between the two games, about 15 hours id say. Shadow gens is great! The act 1s are fully 3d, act 2s fully 2d. 6 of each, each act having 2 mandatory challenge acts (i prefer sonic gens in this regard, but at least the design for these acts is good). There are also 3 bosses plus the final boss, and a decent open hub world with challenges and collectibles. The doom powers are cool but I don't rlly like morph (or chaos island 1 for that matter). The 3d levels are mostly great but the quality dips often. Everything else is pretty consistent. Ost is great, especially the act 2s imo. I really like chaos island 2. Story is great but feels really short and empty (bc theres like 10 minutes of it). Final boss also rocks. You should buy it
