Space Giraffe

Great arcade gameplay that explains itself poorly. The goal is to keep your power meter slightly full while letting enemies gather around you. Ram into them for combos. If the meter drains the enemies become lethal. Awesome risk / reward game, but don't expect it to teach you!

this is a clone of the old atari tempest. The good: autofire, its tempest!, good controls, good music. The bad: confusing gameplay. The ugly: acid-trip backgrounds make it hard to see what is going to kill you. clearly a casual game.

If you loved the Tempest games on the Atari Jaguar, Playstations and XBoxes you will probably enjoy this. I've seen it before but always ignored it in the Microsoft store because of the stupid name and a thumbnail that told me nothing about what it was. It wasn't until late 2020 that I finally noticed that LlamaSoft made it that I finally figured out what the hell it was. I'm glad I did as it is a fun game priced right and will keep me happily busy till Tempest 4000 ever goes on sale. The music isn't as good (IMHO) as the Tempest games and the graphics are busier and, at times, headache enducing, but it's fun and I keep playing.

the meaning of life itself. Good game.

Great old game from greatest old game designer Yak. But really needs sprucing up.
