Star Balls

The game is cool, but it has some serious camera issues. The camera should be looking in the direction where you were going instead of rotating by itself to where the game wants you to go. Sometimes the camera puts you on top of the ball, can't move it or move the camera and needed to restart. I gave it 3 stars because the camera issue is annoying. I could have given it 2 stars. I give a high importance to controls, gameplay and game mechanics, and camera movements and angles are part of them. Fix it and I will give it 4 or 5 stars. You can do it.

I wasn't expecting to like it as much. I love it so far. My whole family is playing this game.

At its core, this is futuristic mini golf. Send your ball towards the hole, navigating the course, gathering pickups and avoiding obstacles. The game tracks your strokes and displays par for the hole... And then it all breaks down. 😱 The level design is so close, with a sense of scale and almost purposeful mechanics. But play, and you find that the levels are disjoint, uneven, overly large, and hard to follow or even know what to do. It's way too easy to miss par due to things largely out of your control. The 'physics' on display will have you over- or under-shoot constantly - many many times sending your ball clear off the level. Coins and powerups are here, but the level design renders them mostly useless. The worst offense by far is the lack of even local multiplayer! Instead, odd choices abound to try and justify the purely solo game (e.g. a separate arcade-style score 😒), to no avail. 🐱‍👤 DEVS: You're SO CLOSE! Feels like you just ran out of time. PLEASE FIX THIS GAME!

I also did not expect this game to be so cool to play and at the same time be so calming. The colors are also easy on your eyes. I am new to the Xbox gaming world and even I can get this one enough to get some points.💚
