Stories : The Path of Destinies

I had passed on this when it released. It just went on sale so i grabbed it. During the first hour of play, i enjoyed it but was not sold 100%. Glad i kept playing. Excellent concept for choice system. Love the upgrade system for skills and swords. I am completely enjoying this game. 3 hours in and i cannot put the controller down.

A fun game with a lot of replay ability in terms of all the story threads you choose and unlock throughtout the game and given the price there's not alot of reasons not to give it a try.

This game is like a choose your own adventure book with combat, a bit of exploration and character leveling. What makes it work so well is a good story that provides reasons you can and should go back and make different choices next time. The negatives are minimal enemy variety and a mediocre level up system. Nevertheless I still found it quite enjoyable from start to finish.

Good game, fair price. Had all 24 cards, but the Bookworm achievement didn't pop. Worked on a 2nd playthrough, though. Seems to be an anomaly, as I can't find a reference to the problem. Game's a lot of fun, so I didn't mind the replay so much.

A great game for whats it worth. Combat challenging but fair(indicators when attacks happen,skills/items to help deal with certain enemies,etc.). Multiple paths to see different endings give it replay value. While the elemental doors can be annoying it does give incentive to unlock the the other weapons faster and experiment with them. This game can be "completed" in 5-6 hours if all you care about is the true ending. I honestly would like to see DLC for more endings or a story game with the same mechanics.
