Stranger of Sword City

While I agree that $40 is a lot to ask for this type of game, this brand of fun has been hard to come by with today"s standards of action over strategy. More about substance than story, I have 60 plus hrs on it and am about halfway through. Great choice for old-school rpgers who actually miss turnbased games like Phantasy Star or Final Fantasy the way they used to be. That said, it ironically targets a teen audience.

This game plays like the old wRPGs of the 90s like Wizardry and Eye of the beholder, wrapped up in high rez anime art. I couldn't put this game down for weeks. I enjoyed the maze crawl, and can't wait to see more from the publisher or similar games on Xbox.

Beautiful art, a terrific soundtrack, and engaging battles make this game one to remember! The power struggle that ensues between the three main allied territories keeps the story interesting as well. This is a sure hit for hardcore RPG fans as well as those who love a challenge.

The game was entertaining at first but the gameplay and mechanics are not fun to deal with. The enviromental graphics are reminisent of an older era of gaming, which is fine but the textures often have a stretched out look to it which can be an eye sore after a while. The story is barely intriguing/enganging enough to really give a reason to keep playing since after the first moments. However, the anime style of art is pretty good and the character creation/follower creation is really cool. Unfortunately it's going to take a lot more than just good art and simple character customizations to be worth the price tag. A lot more..

this game was okay but the asking price is too steep if this game was $15 or $20 it would be great but $40 is way too much and i've played games that require more instead of "good art style" to carry their games
