Super Dungeon Bros MEGA Bundle Pack

...or on the Xbox One in general. My experience with this game can be summed up in one word: frustration. I began my playtime with Super Dungeon Bros by completing a level by myself, just to get a hang of the mechanics. The first thing that struck me negatively was the long loading time when entering a level. For a game with aesthetics capable of being reproduced on the sixth generation of consoles complete with choppy and limited animations, this was baffling. I decided to jump right into an online match afterwards and found dissapointment waiting to be discovered. The loading times here are incredulous, from trying to find players to launching a level. This paired with my 9 failed attempts at actually playing an online match due to server issues are the main causes for my given rating. Of the one online game I was able to play, I was kicked out shortly, probably because of the intense lag that occured not two minutes in. You'd have a more enjoyable time being force-fed rocks.

I was having fun until I came to a chest and a dead end. With no clear direction to go and the endless enemies piling up, I gave up. I got this as a free game with gold and I feel ripped off by just playing it. I enjoyed writing this review more than this game and it's painful to type this with a game controller, but still not as painful as playing a game with only a beginning platform, second platform, two vertical moving rafts, a treasure chest area, and a walled area just out of reach.

For being a dungeon crawler, you get punished quite a bit. I've only seen 2 pieces of food this entire game and there's no other way to heal. If you kill enemies, you build up a threat meter that you can't lower. The higher the bar,the more frequent the infinite enemies spawn. There's also no way to block so they always hit every attack.

i've been looking forward to this game for a long time now only for it to end up in disappointment. i honestly wouldn't even touch this game with someone else's hands. the loading time for this game is terrible. why does this game require that much loading time while games like Batman AK and fallout don't require that much time and it has so much more to load? makes no sense. the latency between pushing the button and response is frustrating and the gameplay is simply dull. nvm the frame rate drop. that's a topic too annoying to touch. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. i'm glad it was free given I was going to get this game with a few friends to co op on my other system but now that's just money saved. i hope they make some updates to this game and take this review as more of an idea towards the right direction than a simple bashing of their game.

This is not worth $20 in its current state. The gameplay is sub par to other similar top down coop games including Gauntlet. Weapons feel weak, controls are terrible, sound fx are dissapointing... and the load times are quite long for such a simple game. Also... the game starts lagging after spawning too many enemies... which is especially frustrating when playing solo. I didn't try out the coop mode, so I can't give any useful feedback about that aspect of the game. I was really excited for this too, which makes this review hard to write. Hopefully the devs will continue to work on the gameplay and polish it up... it definitely has potential. If its free on the store... you might as well try it out. But there are better games out there for $20.
