Super Pixel Racers is a fast-paced arcade racer with top-down 2D pixel graphics and a nostalgic 16-bit soundtrack. Race your way up the ranks in an expansive career mode with more than 200 races. Go head-to-head with racers from across the globe in online play with up to eight players! Or challenge your friends in four player split-screen multiplayer.
Have you ever played a racing game without a throttle or a brake? This is that game. You control the steering, drifting, and nitro and that's all. The car is always full thottle. It could have been a good game. However, as it currently is, I cannot recommend it. I expected a modern RC Pro Am style of game. It's not really that kind of game though.

Just to try it...
Thought maybe it won't be so bad...
I was wrong...
I mean its not bad...
It's very bad.
Honestly it's dumb.
WHY WOULD ANYONE NOT WANT TO CONTROL THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE?
What's next a game you watch the car drive the whole race for you? 😒🤦♂️
I wasted money so you don't have to.

Hot garbage
No throttle or brake control. Once in a while even steering flips to opposite controls. Buggy and just frustrating

Retro racing that's pretty fun!
Despite that you can't use brakes or acceleration this little racer isn't bad. You rely on drifting and using nitro boost to win. Lots of tracks, car classes, and upgrades as you progress in career mode. Takedown races are really fun and satisfying, as you use nitro to ram into other cars and send them into walls! This game will be a grind trying to get cash for unlocks but might be worth it. The only real downside is the online multiplayer. Finding someone in a public match is sadly non-existant as there doesn't seem anybody plays this offshoot of RC Pro Am or Super Off-Road. It's still worth your time to try this one out, especially being on sale for under $3.00.

Awesome retro style after you learn controls
This game immediately reminded me of iron man ivan stewart super off road from 90s arcades. Controls are a little odd at first (gas/throttle is always on max), but you get the hang of it. Think of "drift" as e-brake. Hitting it on corners lets you turn tighter an generate nitro, but if you hit it going straight it actually slows you down/brakes. Dont bother with easy/point controls as its way harder. Use the classic controls as it handles better/less jerky. I started with classic and wasnt good but on easy i always went the wrong way. Changed back to classic and it just clicked
its tons of fun if you get a few friends to play. The only negative is online is barebones. Public games were empty ( you need friends but 1.50 sale makes that easy), and online play only has standard race mode (theres a takedown/demolition derby mode in 1p and local coop that appears to be missing online)
Verdict? Its worth 1.50 no questions asked. Not perfect, but theres a good deal of fun to be had
