Tesla vs Lovecraft

Depth, amazing controls, great music and awesome artwork. Value personified. Gratitude to the developers. The arcade shooter is alive and well. Microsoft these guys and gals deserve an achievement for creating a top down shooter that puts on clinic on what the genre is all about. Thank you guys! P.S Every achievement is 100% attainable.

The controls & progression loop are polished, and the risk-vs-reward factor is omnipresent. The soundtrack is great and quite fitting, mixing classic (synth) strings & organ tones with electronic beats. The randomization adds depth and offers choice yet there are several distinct levels. This isn't a quickly thrown together shmup, it's a full-fledged game with excellent presentation. If you're a fan of Geometry Wars, Binding of Isaac or any shmup with depth & progression, grab this.

although it is quite easy in the beginning allowing you a chance to learn the controls, it gets quite difficult. Random perks to pick from make each stage redo a little different. Tank one time and dps another. totally worth the price.

The game is a fun concept. You play as Tesla fighting the evil hords of Lovecraft. The game starts off easy and walks you through its paces while ramping up difficulty. It combines the best of a top down shooter with a progression system. It has a bunch of unlockable weapons and perks. The graphics are done amazingly well. The game is polished and you can tell thought went into its design. I picked this game up on a whim while browsing the new releases and I'm glad I did. If you are on the fence about this game or maybe you are like me and just stumbled across this game don't hesitate to buy it. ❤
