The Assembly

Originally designed for VR/motion controllers, this game works as a reasonable port that lacks the technical gimmick it was intended for. Unfortunately, this may put some off as it makes something similar to a Telltale Game without dialogue options. There are a few puzzles and passcodes that require a bit ingenuity to solve but they're not exactly difficuIt either. Honestly, it tried to be more story-oriented than anything else. The description boasted a narrative dependent on player choice but truthfully, it all comes down to whether or not the player decides to thoroughly explore his/her surroundings. With that being said, the narrative is short and rather unfilling at times. Frankly, I think the story might have been stronger if it focused things more on a single protagonist rather than two. Simply put, its a decent game. The actors gave solid performances and The Assembly provides a world with a lot of potential. I hope the developers flesh this out more. Its not half-bad.

Despite that fact, It's engaging and fun. If you are a science enthusiast, or in the field, you will enjoy the subtlety. This story is about ethical choices and less about action. Intelligence is rewarded. I wish there was more content, but the conclusion was satisfying enough to warrant the financial investment. I hope to see more like this, someday soon! Great work, and loved the humor.

Solid narrative based puzzle solver that does everything well. My only complaint is it was a bit short for the price, That said, quality over quantity gets this little gem high marks. Well done with Unreal engine as well!

It's a good, solid game. It's a first person, explore, point and click adventure type game, with puzzles to solve, and some decisions to make. The story is intriguing right from the start, and it's a good one. Definitely based on medical science, with moral and ethical dilemmas. I got this on sale for $11 and I have no regrets. I definitely recommend this game as a nice change from the usual.

The Assembly is a story driven game with some puzzles sprinkled in to the mix. You swap between two characters with two different perspectives throughout the game. The story is intriguing and I found myself not wanting to stop. It touches on morality and how far does the end justify the means. Although it is not required to complete each level, exploring everywhere is worth it. The voice acting is done well and helps to bring the world you're in to life. The game isn't too long and I wish there were more puzzles because the puzzles in it were fun. They are not hard to solve either which added to their enjoyment. Achievements are easy to obtain and you can reload a previously finished level to get any you missed without having to restart the game. As a whole, The Assembly was an enjoyable game. With the ending in mind, I am hopeful for a sequel because I am still curious about the assembly facility and what may be going on in there now...
