The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav

I really enjoyed the story presented here but found gameplay to be tedious and aggravating at times. Trying to navigate the various areas was a pain. Some chapters were overly tedious and convoluted. Would have benefited from some polishing.

Huge visual bug where the word "Language" from the menu is burned into every single screen. Learn to ignore it. Otherwise, puzzles are hard enough. Story very good, mix of German-style medieval and classic fairy tale stuff. No tutorial, tough to get startewith mechanic, but hang in and it gets fine. Acceptable voice acting. Not perfect but worth the money for fantasy and puzzle fans.

A story I actually cared about. Graphics were nice. Voice acting was good to very good. Puzzle difficulty was just right. Only gripe is the achievements for difficulty don't stack. One reviewer mentioned the word 'language' remainded on the play screen. This happened to me too, but it went away after I turned subtitles off and on again.

Even tutorial is already broken. Can't pick up hammer in inventory.

Its a good break from all the glitz of AAA 3D graphics. The scenery and art of this game is absolutely beautiful. If you appreciate this type of game and good story telling you should support these guys! .......Love to see more of this!
