The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu - Deluxe Edition

I've been watching this game since I saw it pop up on Xbox with just a trailer. If you enjoy a game. That has hallucinations that make you wonder whether or not the screaming is actually happening or if those enemies in front of you are real or not. This is the game for you. Planning is key.

Clear focus on stealth and sound management after reading the available survivor guide. Melee weapons have take down kills and environmental management. Combat could be improved with a dodge keybound to A so there aren't redundant buttons. Story could be a little more involved. Most expeditions so far just involve getting jumped by zombies. So the monsters could be better managed. Would prefer longer match times myself, matches feel too short before every decrepit grandma wants to break your knees. Add to it character customization, skins, appearal. More weapon skins on a wider variety and more permanent upgrades. The game has a solid world, good base, and overall fun loop. I can see people deciding later that the end game could be too repetitive. Not at the end yet though, so can't fully speak there. Then to end off with, if you are on controller turn OFF mouse smoothing in settings. It gets rid of camera jankiness. TLDR good game, fun game. Needs a little dev TLC. Check settings.

Really all this game needs is bug fixing and the ability to block

There is some input delay and there are quality of life updates that are needed to make the game run smoother. But the atmosphere and the combat of this game. Is incredible. Totally worth the way I've been waiting for this game for over a year. And I cannot wait for the updates to come.
