They Are Billions

I've looked up a few of the accounts that vehemently defend this game...a lot have 0 achievements. One guy has 15hrs with nothing unlocked. So here's my honest review. The last time I played this game was when it came out, and I got pretty far, then never touched it again for a reason. The other reviews about poor balancing, glitches, improper difficulty adjustments, and lack of updates, are correct. I play RTS games galore and there are GENUINELY more difficult games out there but TaB is difficult because it's scummy. If you look up the "strategy" to this game from "Pro players", 90% of their tactics are T1 wall spamming and Ai pathing glitching. I'm sorry but 99% of players aren't going to envelope themselves that deeply into this game and as it's not an inherently apparent/taught/is-a-glitch then the game is poorly designed. At the end of the day if you pick it up on sale and have a couple hours of fun on it then by all means it's worth it, but this is by no means a 5/5 or even 4/5

The game is a fun challenging RTS with light colony sim elements. But a path finding glich made all my solders run straight through hords of Zombies just to get to one side of my fortress When there was an unobstructed safe path within the walls that they could take. Honestly ruined my motivation to play any farther on that save after slowly planning out every land grab operation.

Use a keyboard and mouse! Turns this game into a 4/5 game easily. Unfortunately they did a horrible job porting over the controls for console controllers. Still no excuse if your going to port a pc rts game to console the first thing should be a smooth transition to controller.

Awesome concept. I love more rts games are coming to console. The controls slow you down and makes it hard to play on a controller tho like selecting units or going into build menu. Controls could be better but honestly you get use to it after couple games. Also please fix the people nonstop screaming even when zombies are not around it's so annoying..

The pause function makes this rts playable on high difficulty with controller. It just feels more like turnbased strategy to have to play that way to succeed. Im not complaining though it's still an engaging experience. Mouse and keyboard or lower difficulty for rts gameplay. Encountered pathing bugs but nothing major. Expect some trial and error learning. Loving the scope of the campaign and the artstyle. I feel some love went in, and recommend this game to strategy/tactics/towerdefense oriented hominids
