TopSpin 2K25 Grand Slam Edition

I actually love the on court play a ton and the controls are solid after a slight learning curve. Career mode needs tweaks to stamina so that you don't have to skip events every other month. But the biggest kick in the head is that without an internet connection to their servers, you can play tutorials or exhibition mode... that's it. The 'local play' career mode and even your created player are inaccessible offline. Whether your connection drops, or their servers crash (as they have been for a few hours now) - 90% of the game is locked out. Awful design choice.

The game is literally not working because "the servers are down"

Everything requires online but the acct wont connect to servers, so its unplayable....reinstall does nofix

Of course, the store works and they push the season pass on you but basic features of every other modern sports game like private matches are not there. I wish i could get a refund!!!!

I had an interest in this because I usually love tennis games and I remember enjoying the TopSpin games of the past, but wow, this is just terrible. First off the gameplay is really bad, it's got this big emphasis on this timing meter which feels like a terrible mechanic that is also really distracting and takes away from the immersion. Then there's the very limited modes and offerings, espcially for single player, with an awful career mode that requires an online connection in order to play. To top it off the graphics are quite bad as well, I am playing this on my Series X and I have played standard Xbox One games that look better. Some character models are just an insult to the real players as well. Overall I just really didn't enjoy playing this at all and there is nothing about it that I really found appealing.
