I personally was really excited when i heard the NV3 games was making a Trainz Simulator for consoles, i have been waiting forever. Great sounds, great controls, but i wish i could switch them up a little. Me personally really love the many types of Locomotives that are in this game including the North American ones. The sounds are realistic and the locomotives and railcars rock side to side like they do In real life. Highly recommend for those who want to take the challanging gradiants and heavy freight trains, me personally i love West to denver the most. I do hope we get more route DLC's and locomotive packs like the other Trainz Simulator games. I would also love to see a map creator like all the other Trainz Simulator games NV3 has, its their most iconic part in my oppinoin. The only downfall i see with this game is the European railfans and Austrailian Railfans as you have start on the United States railroads and cant cut ahead on the routes, but for 40$ its great, no bugs so far

This game is great for train lovers
This is a great game so far. It took me a while to figure how to work the controls. There is a lot to learn. Trains can only run at limited speeds and you have to be really patient with the game. It sort of reminds me of model railroading. I hope in the future they have some DLC's with more train routes and a editor so you make your own train routes.

Having a good time so far
The sounds are top notch. Each train sounds different, including the horns. The radio chatter is a nice addition too. Plenty of a.i trains cruising around too. Easy to play. Haven't noticed any major bugs, especially compared to TSW 6... great game so far

Good
A fun train game. Love the fact that you can actually use the industries to load product. The sessions are really cool and I love the a.i. traffic and radio during them. It has simplified controls, but that’s not a bad thing. It works well on Xbox and it's nice to not have so much complexity sometimes. However, the game is loud and there’s no options menu or even a main menu. It starts you straight into the game. There are only premade sessions and a sandbox mode for each map after you complete the sessions for that map. Sandbox mode is fine, but it gets a little boring fast. You can drive the different trains that are parked around the map and couple them (and the rolling stock) together, but there is no a.i. traffic and you can’t spawn in trains. You just sort of drive around by yourself. If I had one wish, it’s to be able to set schedules in sandbox mode.
