No but for real you'll get lost in this game, plays like Sunless Sea/Sky, but in the Kenshi universe. The wastelands no joke, hard af game but super rewarding since the lore is rich and the settings so good, game feels like baldurs gate and fallout 1 and 2 had a baby and that baby wrote a book about his two dads, that book got a game adaptation and thats this.

Yeah im not kidding you explore a vast world via a comitatus(caravan) as a Vargus(Nomad leader) you are trader/transport/adventurer/mercenary all wrapped into one. You travel via a node system that has distance via paths for how much movement it takes to traverse you must prepare for the desert otherwise it and your comes(crew) will eat you alive. It does have a reputation system with factions and a hidden criminal system. Lots of lore and reading tons of decision making. You will feel like one vargus among many people in the world you have some importance but not much. You must live in the desert by acquring coin. You will be mostly a tradr and taxi. However its fun and you never know what is instore.

This game honestly reminds me of a vintage Dungeons & Dragons choose your own path reading game book for one player, but think of this as the ultimate Dungeons & Dragons 🐉 edition of a vintage choose your own path of reading game book in giant bible size for one player📙 in ditigal form with a narrative host to set the mood and environment of the game. And not only that this game is like a huge sandbox world 🌍 so that means a lot of reading. So this may not be the type of game for everyone it's what I would refer to as a "Skyrim or Witcher all reading mostly game sand box world". So for the price, this is just a friendly warning. 📙 So if you love reading a lot this is definitely for you gamer 💝. Yep everytime i think i get enough money to explore a bit, i get ambushed and make it one step from a city just to have my comes to end me. Good times, its all about remembering what not to do from your past lives kinda game. Worth it if youre a tabletop, sim survival player with a dash of masochist darksouls player that plays for the pain of that unexpected death you caused yourself 2 weeks prior taking the quest you thought you could handle. Its rewarding to get to the next town, even if they have only enough supplies for you to make it 1.5 days back to safety.

The detail of the writing really paints the picture they are trying to convey. This game isnt for the feint of heart. It's punishing yet satisfying.
