Wild Blue Skies

Coming from a 37 yr old here who grew up on starfox64; this a great labor of love. Its nice to have something close on non nintendo system

Yep, but on Xbox, fun SF type game...All the cool squad characters and everything, plus the gameplay you'd expect. Fun and priced right!

Brings the child in me back. Plays well and hits all the nostalgia notes. A must buy if you love the past.

It's Starfox 64 in every possible way which isn't necessarily a bad thing. A squad of 4 cutesy animal pilots. Your 3 wingmen are useless. A free flight level or two where you inevitably fight a rival team of 4 less cute pilots. Controls, weapons, branching mission structure are the same. What's not welcome is the short sight distance with every level blanketed in the famous N64 fog. With current tech, that's unnecessary and inexcusable. I hope it wasn't an active choice by the devs. The $15 price makes its flaws forgivable.

Dejavu from my SNES days... But in pretty. Controls are great, minus the Shoot & Homing are on 2 buttons which feels odd. The biggest flaw is the charged shot is too slow and the range way too low, or game needs to buff the weapons a bit to make the enemys less spongy. Generally pickups/extras or power/life ups are also a bit too stingy placed. No life up at checkpoints ?😢 Otherwise a great deal for just 14.99 but I do hope for some updates.
