Wunderling
Toplitz Productions · Platformer
In Wunderling, you’re not a hero but a low-level video game goon who has just unlocked the power to jump. Chase down the Hero across beautiful scrolling levels and show him who’s the real BOSS!
Pretty fun game. Very old school and kind of challenging. Tons of levels and unlockables. Decent story and great soundtrack. Reminds me a bit of classic mario. Definitely recommend if ur into platformers👍👍

WUNDERful and Charming
This game offers a nice unique take on the platformer genre. Especially fun for those who like a challenge with rewards ranging from cosmetics to extra levels! Also the fact that the game is written by Alex Faciane is a great plus!

All the positive reviews I found now make sense
I still need to adjust this review for current thoughts. Played much more now (at another place). Gotta say this is one of those games that it's hard to see how could it get good reviews from nearly everyone that played it (Steam, Youtube, here, etc.) until you put some time into it yourself, trying for the real goals.
Free demo now on Xbox too! It's just world 1, a training world IMO but to include further in would be a spoiler for main game (not meaning story). The point is to 100% levels, not just make it to the main exit.
This is a puzzle game & the way controls work makes a lot of sense being the puzzles depend on them being that way. If you moved the character yourself, much of the puzzling in it would cease to exist & they are fun to figure out & so are finding the secrets. Changing how your character looks & thinking where to find a hidden thing (part of the puzzles too) is also fun. Getting/finding ALL in a level AND making it to an exit with that loot is even more FUN.

10 out of 10
Puzzle Platformer. Even though unlocking the golden portals is glitched. Worth every penny!

Almost passed on this, almost missed out!
This is actually much fun to play & I'm enjoying trying to find level secrets & 100% all levels (chill game but has some challenge further in).
It nagged at me for a while to try this game but my mind was made up, nope, not purchasing a... (insert incorrect negative assumptions here). I see I misunderstood quite a lot (edit: Xbox demo is finally out). It's also worth more than 10 bucks, IMO.
Now, the little villain isn't fast, which may sound a little off putting but you'll be glad it's not when you try it but saying not fast isn't 100% correct but that's spoiler territory.
You start as the "hero" in an intro you play & you do manually move him. It's a brief moment. I liked having the intro done this way. It's also a setup for why you are playing as this little goon(ba).
I've put in over 16 hours, hard to stop when I start. This is a PUZZLE-platformer that has more emphasis on the puzzling, so the auto-walking is a needed integral part of the clever puzzles even being puzzles.
