Great game low price. RETRO graphics, music and fast paced gameplay with no slow downs that I have yet to encounter. Recommend this game to both retro and rogue fans. three diffrent characters with each their own special. Can level up and choose where to place your stat points. Boss fights are fun. Only one problem for me and that it doesnt fit on my TV screen. But that's a common problem for me with my TV and retro games that do not offer the option to adjust screen size. Also a few reviews said something about guns not working on boss fights. Nothing but your sword works on boss fights and I am pretty sure that is the way it is meant to be.

Nice roguelike game
Lovely retro artstyle, nice music, and interesting game, that its similar to spelunky. If you like Spelunky you might like this one.
The only downside, playing it constantly might burn you out. Play it in small doses

Not great
I'm really trying to power through and finish the game but it has two major issues in gameplay.
First, your character is small and moves fast. Your melee is slightly more than one block big. This causes so many times where I'll try to poke a boss or enemy but I'll scrape them and take a hit.
Next, guns are disabled on the boss fight. I could live without guns at the boss but this is really bad with random loot. You can run through all the levels up to the first boss, getting chests, then start the boss fight with zero gear upgrades because ONLY guns happened to drop on that run. It's literally the difference of double or triple damage early on so it causes a massive difference in difficulty in boss fights, dictated by RNG.

Retro
I love it. Feels like an NES game. Sure it has flaws. Most old school games do. Feels very retro. Controls feel simple, and pretty smooth. Guns in boss fights would be nice, but doesnt bother me enough to hate the game.

8 Bits of Awesome
Sweet Game ... Great Price. Graphics & sound are spot on. The game is supposed to be hard which is what makes it so addictive.
