Ziggurat

Ziggurat is a unique game that channels the spirit of Heretic and Hexen with a rogue-like twist. Select a character, manage their unique strengths and weaknesses, while selecting skills and upgrades to survive! The game is easy to get into, drop-dead simple to understand (unlike many rogue-like wannabees) and has a good sense of humor about itself. The enemies are silly (in a good way) with carrots, slimes, flamingo-like beasts, and more! Developer was a prolific XBL Indie game developer, and features images of them in their secret rooms. The illustrator of the cards has a clever art style, and the dozens of weapons require different playstyles. All this combined with a heart-pounding soundtrack, great SFX, and a (usually) 60 FPS framerate makes Ziggurat the best game of its genre on consoles, PERIOD!

It took me 15 tries to beat this game on easy, its challenging, but insanely fun. Getting the magic spefcific characters is a big difference. This game is addictive, I love that its never the same.

GREAT GAME!! Milkstone is an excellent Indie studio. i love the easter eggs(hidden rooms) in this game where the devs talk honestly about all their previous games being successful or failures. great stuff!

What is up with the terrible run mechanic? If you need to run it won't! You can click that stick like mad and get nothing! Not cool in battle. I've tried holding it too. Good game overall! Hope that's fixed for Ziggurat II.

Honestly I wish I bought this game sooner! Cant say I didnt like spending $6.00 on this, but had Id known how great it is I wouldve spent $20.00 plus!
