A Pixel Story
Rising Star Games · Platformer
In a world hidden deep inside your computer, an unlikely hero is about to appear. A tale of platforms and perils; of magical teleporting hats and sarcastic software; of thieving seagulls and maniacal operators. It's no fairy tale... it's a pixel story!
Have to make pixel perfect jumps and get one hit killed. Game is kind of fun until you have to practice a set of jumps hundreds of times. Only play this if you hate yourself.

Waste of a dollar.
Hard to believe but its horribly unfun and not even worth the $1.19 i paid. I should have guessed with it being so heavily discounted. Long winded text coming from every NPC, timed precise platforming, and an asthetic that comes off far more lazy than charming. Unistalled. No thanks

Absolutely Uncomfortable and Softlock Broken
Let me explain the jump mechanics
There's 3 stages of jumping. Beginning to peak, peak to end, and landing
1. You can at the beginning of the jump; move in the direction to long jump half of your jump... If you don't, or ur facing the wrong direction, or jumping against momentum on a moving platform; you short jump (same airtime of about ½ a second, 1/3 distance)
2. Peak You have the options of holding forward to long jump (even if the first half was a short jump) or you can not push anything and short jump, or you can hold back during a long jump to turn the second half into a short jump with forward momentum you can't adjust, or after a short jump to try landing on what you jumped from to retry
3. Your landing is lagged so if you're about to land, all inputs you pressed after the decision from #2 happen a 1/4 second AFTER YOU LAND!
Just know this is a fast paced precision platformer.
Also stage 2 softlocks the game if you use the key for a memory(autosaves) instead of the mission

NOTHING LIKE MARIO
This game is so frustrating. It doesn't allow you to get used to the jumps. Right away they introduce you to difficult jumps that should be a little futher in the game. There are save points, but only when you're actually playing the game, however if you quit and restart you are forced to continue from the very beginning of the level. There are just far too many interferences to enjoy the game. Also at times the jumpin g is delayed, something seems to slow you down or partially freeze you in the middle of your jump. They made this cute little game far too difficult then it had to be. Ilove the colors and the pixel textures, but the music got boring quick because all of the dying. If you buy this game, you better be ready for lots of upsetting moments.
