Incredible well designed storybook world. The puzzles and gameplay are very creative with twist and turns from 2D to 3D levels. The difficulty ramps up slowly with each new chapter, as you buy new combat skills. The graphics are beautifully done, good animation, and vocals. There are items to find and collect as you adventure through each new area. The visuals of the game starting out in a 2D storybook and then expanding out to the 3D world around the storybook is really a unique and well done game idea that is on par with a Disney, or Nintendo game quality production and design. It maybe to simple, and cozy of a game for hard core gamers, but for gamers of all ages it is a gem not to be missed.

While Yahtzee complained there are tons of gameplay mechanics that only appear once, that's the entire point. The game is a pastiche of Nintendo history. One of the first homages beyond The Legend of Zelda is doing Punch Out. Why? Just because. That's the point. Just enjoy the references and move on.

The moments leading up to when you first leave the book, I haven't felt that tingling sense of wonder since I was a kid! A remarkable guided journey worth experiencing!
