Aces of the Luftwaffe Squadron - Extended Edition

So not sure but most the negativity revolves around load times but here in 2025 i have no issues on series x my only valid complaint is pricepoint 15 for base 15 for dlc and there is plenty of game at that price but this genre has some legit bangers for 5-10 bucks..so honestly even full price is fair but other games offer similiar for less...but on sale...its a no brainer..LOVE the corny story and VO...i play these for a fun light hearted experience...and i dont mean this as a insult to Handygames..clearly they have fans..but this feels highly produced for a Handygames game from my personal experience lol...its mechanics are crisp including hitboxes some meta progression..and maybe its just cause im a corny stoner boomer gamer but the visuals and story ooze charm..but this is subjective..and 50 handcrafted missions if u have the package deal with side stuff..its a wonderful package.i keep updating after play sessions lol..this again...this is MY own personal fav top down shooter lol

Don't understand why this game gets so much hate. It's a terrific shmup with lots of depth for upgrading tons of missions to tackle, ok the voice actors are laughable, but you can turn it down in settings if you don't want to hear it. Overall agreat game if you're a shmupholic like me! The only thing keeping ACES from being truly great is the really odd gameplay mechanic the DEVS added that has you and you commrads occasionally succumbing to certain"ailments" that greatly hinder your performance during battle. It's an unecessary and pointless mechanic that only serves to kill ur momentum, and cause a lot of frustrating WTF moments. Beyond that though it's a really good shmup that's good for hardcores and casuals alike.

The DLC basically breaks the game. Having it installed leads to 4-5 minute load times, even when not playing the DLC content, just playing the regular game. Uninstalling the DLC fixes the original game and load times go back to normal. I have no idea why they haven't fixed this yet. They shouldn't be allowed to even sell the DLC pack while it's broken like this. Buyer beware.

-Way too much chatter from the characters that interrupt gameplay constantly. -The sicknesses your copilots get are ridiculous and annoying. - Enemy planes, backgrounds are most the same, lazy copy & paste job in color variations. It feels like a Mobilegame from 15 y ago ported as is. Sky Force (Anniversary/Reloaded) looks and plays so many galaxies better than AOTLuftwaffe. Might be worth a shot when its back on 1.49 Sale - otherwise dont waste your money.

Great base game but when the DLC is installed it crashes to Xbox home screen. Unplayable wiith DLC installed. Why devs not fix this after years th world wonders. Caveat Emptor!!!
