AER - Memories of Old
Daedalic Entertainment GmbH · Action & adventure
Transform into a bird and fly to explore and experience a vibrant world of floating islands in the sky. Venture down into lost ancient ruins where each step leads you closer to the end of the world.
The appealing visuals and low price are what initially grabbed my attention. The shroud of mystery that blanketed the serene world of AER kept my interest piqued... No vocals, only text. Interesting character and world design. Plus atmospheric music to match the look and feel of each area. Exploration is key to understanding the context of the world, do yourself a favor and be thorough... The ending, though shorter than expected, was satisfying and done in a unique way that you just dont really see anymore... I rate this 4/5 since 1) the style and relaxed pacing is either hit or miss for some people, and 2) I simply wish it was longer, lol... Overall, AER is nice little gem I'm glad I found. 👍

A Masterpiece
Stunning visuals, fluid gameplay, stupendous soundtrack. A transcendent work of art. Felt like I was home, playing Ocarina Of Time again.

Sky Abzu with more story\lore
Pretty good game for the price. You basically fly around solving puzzles and uncovering your people's past before everything blew up (literally). Visuals are great, controls are easy, and the music is entertaining and satisfyingly atmospheric. Like Abzu, nothing is trying to kill you and it's all about discovering the world at your own pace, which is a feature that can make it or break it for people. The puzzles are nothing to write home about, it's more about memorizing and navigating the rooms and territories than puzzling out mechanisms. I have mixed feelings about the story. It had great potential for memorable characters and entities, and fun pieces of lore are scattered throughout the world via memories, scrolls, and tablets, but the downsides are that it's quite short and has a pretty flat ending. Still, between the sense of freedom you have while flying, the tidbits of lore you can find while exploring, and the fantastic atmosphere, this game is fun and relaxing.

Worth It
Tired of playing games that try harder to get at your wallet than they do at being actually fun? Then this is the game for you. Flying is so incredibly fun and just so unlike anything else out there, the music is gorgeous, the art is vibrant, and I never once felt like shouting, even when I failed to thread Auk through the hole for the 1,000th time. I highly recommend this game. If it had online multiplayer and color customization I'd demand everyone I know to buy this immediately.

Beautiful Story
This is a wonderful game, great story and a lot to read. Not like most games that hold your hand through the game. Beautiful landscapes and great gameplay.
