The Atari dream museum
If you're an Atari enthusiast, then this collection is worth every penny, not to mention this collection features Dark chambers, which is a rare gem to find these days, and one of the greatest video games ever made is here...Tempest 2000, it was the only reason I kept my Atari Jaguar long after they quit producing new games for it, this may not be everyones cup of tea, but for the Atari lover, it's got it all...the only major issue is no online leaderboards, c'mon Atari...how you gonna release such an amazing collection and not let us compete for high scores? Also, if you're looking for games from the "recharged" series, those aren't here, you still have to buy those seprate...

Amazing Playable Piece of History
Going in, you should know that this is not just a collection of Atari games, it is a playable museum and piece of history. Many people will hit the "X" button to play the games collection, but they are missing out on the main product. The UI for the timelines is very well done, as are the interviews, restored pictures of history such as cabinet descriptions and art, and more. Digital Eclipse went above-and-beyond in showing how video games got their start and why they are still around today.

New high bar for retro collections
This is such a lovingly consructed piece of software. Somehow they made a collection of games where playing the actual games is frequently the least compelling part. It is both a documentary and a museum. The interviews are terrific and edited really well. There's 3D-rendered product boxes and high-res scans of arcade flyers, development planning documents, and even business cards. I have no personal nostalgia, much of this happened well before I was born, so this is covering a bit of a blind spot for me. What a fantastic way to learn about the origins of popular video games.

Nostalgia
Interviews and history are great of how it all began and to play it in order as you go along is awesome. We've all had our share of ''old atari games'' with all the rereleases and such but with addition of some ''newer'' never before rereleased (Jag and Lynx,+) made the purchase of this collection worth it for me. Got a Jag at Kaybee toys back in 95 on the cheap! Had a nice collection, gathering it all back is too much $. Would love to see more Jag and Lynx games, especially the ones that are hard to get or expensive to grab. Jag: Iron Soldier, Flip out, Kasumi ninja, White men can't jump, Ultra vortek, and IWar. Lynx: Dirty Larry, Battle Wheels, Bubble trouble, power factor and Electro cop. (just to name some games I would enjoy seeing added as DLC). Maybe Jag CD?
