Blackwind is a top-down sci-fi action game that puts you in the shoes of a teenager trapped inside a prototype battle armor suit during an alien invasion. Face off against enemies, cut through their ranks, and fight back to stop a planetary invasion.
In my playtime so far on my Series X, I haven't experienced the crashes others have mentioned when getting achievements or hitting a checkpoint. I will play on my One X and update this review if necessary.

Good game for a 90's platformer
Fun right up to a point that the devs mistakingly believe that an isometric game environment with, not just no camera controls, but auto-locking to anoying angles, really needs constant trick jumps to progress. Then what was an enjoyable game with albeit poor voice acting, turns into rage quiting before giving into the urges to slam the controller to the groung and stomping it to tiny pieces because the camera insists to move suddenly, and with it the input direcion shift. Any one of several options would have worked if it had actually play tested. Would have been awesome as an fps! Or at minimal, give camera rotation. The environment is fully rendered an look great... use it. But no, it was obviously playtested only by the programers, an then only minimal. If I ever try to finish, I seriously doubt I'll ever play it again. Poor investment in my opinion

This is a fun game
I had came across this as it caught my eye for there being a lack of mecha games in the next gen race. I decided to give it a try regardless of all the negative feedback I witnessed before downloading. There isn't enough combat games like this, and for this company to develop with awesome detail, I hope to see this advance into an even better concept. The only negative thing I have to say is that the executions need a little more "umph." There could be better emphasis on the sound while performing an execution. Make the controller shake, zoom in more, make the bass drop when ripping off a wing and shoving it down an enemy's throat. Overall I enjoyed this. There are solid puzzle bridges in place to separate the combat evenly. The jumping mechanic could use some work, but that's just me. I hope to see Blowfish do more with this game. Because the elements placed in this game work really well together.
