Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged

Bought the original back in late 90s for $5 from an Electronics Boutique bargain rack, back when it was known just as Circle Of Blood here in the United States. I've been a fan of the series ever since. Managed to play every game in the series across multiple systems. Even though I appreciate them, I always felt lack of availability of older titles on new system didn't do the series any favors for new players. Hopefully this changes that and we see Revolution put more of these remasters out, and hopefully it will attract new fans. This is perhaps among the last of the point and click adventures I ever got into but this franchise survived what sort of died out by the late 90s. I hold it up there with my fond memories of the LucasArts classics. I think I might like these better given the number of games. You get options here to hot swap new and old graphics and the new art is great, fits each area perfectly. Audio seems little dated, inconsistent, but still serviceable.

If you love these types of games check it out! I also participated in the Kickstarter and my Gamertag is in the credits under Templar Knight.

I never played the original or any game of this genre to be honest. I saw the trailer on YouTube & was struck by the the beautiful animation. After buying & completing 100% of the achievements, I can say the game is a nostalgic treat. The gameplay, story, settings, etc. are so calming & enjoyable to play. 5/5!

Broken Sword deserves preservation. All episodes are worth remasters.
