CATAN - Console Edition Super Deluxe

Its a functioning game of basic Catan. Nothing too exciting or disappointing. It does need a little bit of love though. My biggest gripes are: - Lack of customization (no AI difficulty adjustment, no VP adjustment) - Lack of gamemodes (no Seafarers, Rivals, Cities & Knights) - Lighting/Shadows (its difficult to see roads/villages/cities, blinding die rolls) - Die Roll (covered by forrest/wheat tiles) - Level select wait times are brutal Overall, off to a solid start. I hope they continue to build & improve to give players more customization options. Compared to other versions of Catan, I have a very difficult time seeing the roads, villages, & cities with all the lighting & animations going on...it like theres too much going on within the board. Its a really strange thing to complain about. I would LOVE to have an option to play just a flat-tile traditional board. I feel it would be much easier to see (Im a simple man - just give me basic Catan!)

I agree with literally every other review. Lobby for multiplayer sux and is slow/flawed. Everyones turn should be on a timer you can all see. The games are excrutiatingly slow. Inexperienced players are welcome, but server lag and indecision kill the flow. Also what happened to emojis and being able to see dice rolls or resource count? I understand dumbing the game down to avoid vitriol online (360 had a ton of rage players), but you guys need to amp it up a bit ffs. Also agree withe grapic comments. While cool it makes stuff really hard to see. It would be nice if you gave tons of visual options for the board. Even adding a basic board layout would be nice. What happened to records and leaderboards? Listen and truly read these reviews to make positive changes and i promise you'll have a thriving community that has been missing since the 360 days and the Big Huge Game days.

We will buy cities & knights if you fix the dice rolls. They are absolutely not random. Add a setting that can change the rolls to truly random if you need to, but they are not functioning as such at the moment. Its game breaking and unplayable. Wish i read the reviews before purchasing, but who would have thought you could mess Catan up this much.

It is confusing as to how so many new games fail to achieve what the previous generation did. Is this playable? Yes, but you will be second guessing button inputs along with not quickly seeing the standings. Also, no dice log of rolls which was an awesome feature of the 360 title.

AI refuses to make trades with you. Board set up is uneven. Dice is manipulated and always favor s AI. Whenever you have more than 7 cards a 7 is always rolled. Played a game where 7 was rolled 20 times. Dovetail games says dice rolls are fair but they aren't.
