This is a esoteric card game you have to figure out how to play on your own. Its very addictive and is kind of a choose your own adventure rpg through cards. There really isnt much like this game other than the 2nd game in the series "book of hours"

Feel like...
I feel like they dropped the ball porting this. Its quite lazy actually. And at $25 its very over-priced.

Not worth $25
By the time you learn how to play, you realize it would help to sort your cards based on your win conditions or current goals.
The game is a fun take and more intricate than other combining games, but even a simple tutorial would help.

What they did to this game in this port is unforgivable and unforgetable. My hair is blown back.

A deck builder solitaire game with zero flair
The game is flat and lacks style. You're basically roleplaying a persona based on presets. The concept is simple. You have a narrative that gives you a job. That job costs resources and unlocks new actions and provides funds. Essentially you're trying to complete story arcs by combining verbs, resources, items, and clients before you run out of money and die.
On death you shuffle the cards and start over.
The game would have been better in a different format.
This can be seen in the pc version which actually does a much better job at placing the cards in a domino style layout. Every card has a place and the story unfolds in a more dynamic and interesting way.
This console port sacrifices the layout that makes the screen look like a desk and replaces it with a bunch of boring menues on a flat background.
You cant see reactions and actions at the same time. on the main tab you could be dying of starvation while on the verb tab your passing of time ticks away with no funds.
