Dead Rising 4

Dead Rising 1 will always be my favorite. But for some reason I really enjoy this game. Whenever I feel like I just wanna chill and play this is one of the games I turn too. Ive had it since it came out.

For those who played the others, Frank's recasting isn't even a blip on the radar when it comes to disappointment. Psychopaths were memorable. For many, Adam the clown (despite being optional) managed to upstage the story villains. Great enemies, despite their brief appearances, showing the effectiveness of their encounters. Now such encounters have no cut scenes, they wield basic combo weapons, and aren't even fun to fight. The classic bosses were challenging (some to cruel degrees). They're now less threatening than certain zombies. Worse: I killed them all, but can't recall more than a few as they were NOT FUN OR CHALLENGING. As for customization, it's literally cropped from DR3, not even changing some icons. Most normal and combo weapons are wastes of time. Lack of co-op is saddening, only leaving a 1-4 player mode with no clothing options that is exclusively in the mall. The final boss was more memorable than ever, though. Worth playing, but the previous entries are far better.

I liked the story though boring sometimes, the REAL. clicker is the insane amount of glitches this game has, even after two updates. I feel like this game was rushed way too much and they should have been more caring, afterall, this was supposed to be the amazing return of Frank West. Also one more thing, DON'T BUY THE FRANK RISING DLC. as of right now, the DLC has a game breaking glitch that won't even allow you to complete it, for now just wait until Capcom actually starts bothering to fix their own game.

It is now January of 2019 and Dead Rising 4 is still duller than golf. Dont expect 4 to give you anything but the main story mission, because thats all there is. Killing zombies gets old fast, as its never been easier. The combo weapons are as unorigional and wacky as ever, breaking the atmosphere and removing any challenge. Psycopaths are now replaced with generic people dressed in some zainy costume, no cutscene or backstory. The story is as predictable as it is boring to play through. Frank is nothing like he was in the previous games, being dumbed down and looking nothing like he used to. Multiplayer is dead. DLC is boring. Even the map is dull, nothing outside the mall is worth looking at. If I could say one good thing about Dead Rising 4, it would be the Christmas theme. The game, especially the mall and the soundtrack, really gets you in the Christmas spirit. If Dead Rising 4 was a food it would be dry chicken. It looks edible but after trying it, you lose your appetite for it.

It's finally here and really got me into the christmas spirit! However, i feel like it falls short... The complete removal of Psychopaths, the time limit, and story co-op is just a HUGE middle finger to hardcore fans of the series. Another problem is that the story felt so short compared to the other games. Things it did right? The exo suits. It just makes you feel like a walking tank. Plus the power ups for the exo suits just adds more variety to the gameplay. The game also introduces a stealth system for those who prefer to be a ninja (it's mainly optional to go stealth so don't worry if you suck at stealth games). Some boss fights felt intense while others lacked. The game also introduces new combo weapons while also bringing back old ones. The skill progression for Frank seems awesome.Frank seems hilarious as a character but other characters dont feel finished or well developed since you dont get to know them all too well since the game is pretty short. Overall i give the game 8/10
