Another tribute paid to yet another arcade classic from the Hero Concept team! Doughlings: Invasion promises a fun gaming experience to gamers of all ages with the innovations it brings to the shooting genre.
Great sequel. Can't wait for the next installment as well.

Arcade classic
Space invaders with the douglings twist.loved the last game , it was great and much better then this. Not the sequel i wanted but a nice spin off. If you even just mildly like this, get the last one. Best bubble pop game ever (aracknoid breakout) if you know the classics.

Space Invaders fans may like
My thoughts about this are the same things I said about Doughlings Arcade. Your preference of which of these you'll like most will depend on which style you enjoy most.
Your enjoyment of this one is going to depend on just how much you like the gameplay loop of Space Invaders. If you like Space Invaders gameplay enough, this should be enjoyable. Sound effects are servicable but nothing special, unlike the game it's inspired by.
The one difference in this one is that you have to complete a series of levels contained in stacked rows (instead of the world map) to have any progress saved. Complete the levels in a single row, progress saves. Fail at the last level in the current row, start over (including powerup purchases). I like this as it adds some challenge but some may find it frustrating.

Poor fire button assignment & too much backtracking
Since Morpheus has to fire all the time, I can't fathom why this wasn't assigned to a trigger button instead of the X button - very uncomfortable .
The progression is tedious. You'll eventually wind up in a level that you can't get past with only one life. Your only alternative is to start over and go through 20, 30, 40 levels all over again - tedious.

Just awful
Cant start a stage over unless you start from the beginning of the game. Otherwise youre stuck on inferiating boss stages with next to no extra lives. Thus youre forced to start the game over and hope you make it to the boss stages without loosing too many lives. The problem is around the 4th stage(5 in all) the games difficulty ramps pretty signiciantly. Meh,save your cash for something else. I got this on sale for $6.00 and still feel short changed. Bad gameplay design in how youre allowed to continue ruined this.
