DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Digital Deluxe Edition

There have been a lot of changes made to the original, some good and some bad. THE GOOD * Music Updates & Enhancements * Character Models, NPCs & Location Visualization Improvements * Streamlined Bag (access items directly from it) * Dialogue and Companion VO Improvements * Menu and Display Improvements THE BAD * Location Reductions & Eliminations * Lose Job Skills w/ Vocation Change * Casino Games Are Gone (Card Game Remains) * Streamlining Has (at times) Simplified To A Braindead Level of Ease

4/5 for cut content. Good graphics and quality of life improvements. Still a great port, hopefully they add cut content back in an update.

I remember playing the OG game on the PS1. It was so long it had 2 discs! Still have the OG version and replay it once a year.

So as a longtime fan of the series this scratches the itch. Until you realize the reason they call it Reimagined is because over 40 hours of gameplay and story they deem nonessential has been cut. Plus hours of changes to the story and gameplay. Some good and some bad but that's up to personal opinions. There is no casino in the game anymore, just a crappy matching game. Plus there were many islands that while not essential had fun storylines or fun mini games or competitions. A Dragon Quest game without a casino isn't a Dragon Quest game.

Why am i so happy when i play this ??? Theres a character named tongue fu!!!! Tongue fu!!! Joy!!!
