I loved growing up and playing Dynasty Warriors 6 and 7, playing as characters and advancing their story. This game has always made me happy with its simplicity. You could hack and slash and just get a KO of 2,000 or look at your map of the level and strategically find different ways to beat opponents. Now with open world and no set map and so many side quests and **** going on it just feels way too complicated. Wish they would go back to their roots and make it just like DW6 where you play cetain characters and play their story like they would survive it all.

You can go through and capture every single base, but as soon as you finish that Main Objective, it ALL changes or goes back, even the areas not in the current story, making the open world just for grinding. No character creation... Graphics and audio look and sound like the Xbox 360 days. English voice actors, maybe by design, do not have much soul, more for translation and pronunciation than acting. I suggest Japanese with subtitles, much better. Coming back to this game and seeing CO-OP is awesome.
