Far Cry 6 DLC Episode 1 Insanity

This dlc adds more depth to Vaas' character and shows us some of the specifics of his internal struggles, which is great. My main issue with these dlcs come from the rogue-lite stucture of the gameplay. This style of gameplay isn't for everyone, including myself. It ends up keeping an enjoyable Vaas-centered experience behind several playthroughs to unlock/see everything. Still, pretty good. Better with a partner

Mom... He's back 😶‍🌫️

First Off Ill start with the cons. The overall content in the dlc is lacking to me. Theres only a handfull of guns and gameplay got tidious quickly. I feel like the only reason I got my moneys worth is because when you die you start over with a few permanent perks. Other then that I was mostly just doing the exact same thing over and over again. Also the storys short which is a shame because it had potential. Now Ill get to the pros. Its challenging for sure you have to use at least a bit of strategy. If you liked Vass hes still himself obviously which was entertaining. Lastly this does strongly encourage replayability with dying and restarting and 5 difficulties.

Nothing. I love it

Ironically this really is insanity as you'll be doing the same things over and over trying to get your progress back. This DLC is hard, turn to the lowest difficulty (there is only 2 btw) if you want it to be possible. Dont want to play the whole thing in one sitting? Too bad, if you quit you restart from the beginning (you also do when you die but you lose less stuff). Enemies are bullet-spongey though that is a problem carried over from Farcry 6 (not like they were gonna fix it anyway). Theres only like 5 different weapons and the game limits what you can carry (three guns with only one of each type and only once you unlock them). The story seems meh from what ive played, it might get better but I probably wont play anymore to find out. The next dlc just released earlier this month, really hope its nothing like this.
