Graveyard Keeper: Last Journey Edition

I see a lot of comparisons to Stardew Valley. Eh... no. Retro graphics and something resembling farming are pretty much all they share. This game is BRILLIANT in it's unusual nature. Dark, morbid, and, if you can't tell from the DLC titles, damn funny. The only con of this game is that once you've done everything... that's it. All the DLCs add a ton of new experience to the game, but they are the only replay value. It's still worth every second.

***UPDATE*** GRAVEYARD KEEP 2 WAS ANNOUNCED A COUPLE DAYS AFTER MY ORIGINAL REVIEW AND RIGHT AFTER I 100%ED THE GAME. LETS GO!!!! I have had this game on my radar for several years. It was recently on sale in 2026 and picked it up. I waited until i was about 40 hours in before getting the DLC but if i could go back in time i would have got all the DLC before my first playthrough. This game is a lot of fun, story is interesting. Few bugs but there are work arounds. Overall, this game is SO content rich it was suprising. if you are on the fence about this game, get the game and all the DLC before your first playthrough. it is worth EVERY penny. i am ~80 hrs into my playthrough and still passively trying to 100% it. it is just so much fun with so much to do. there is def. a slight learning curve at first. again, this game is SO dense with content and the story is awesome if you enjoy dark humor. It is a must buy!!!! idk how they would do it, but i really want a Graveyard Keeper 2 so bad.

I appreciate it!

As the headline implies, and many other reviews have said, this game is essentially a dark humor stardew valley. The dlc is a tad pricey, but isn't a requirement to enjoy the game itself. Don't expect to blaze through fast, as the grind can be lengthy, but within the context they give you and how tasks are connected, there's always something to do. Replayed thrice, currently on a fourth. A personal favorite, highly recommended.

Been gaming since 1980 and this by far is the best (most) fun . Just wish the devs would release 4th dlc on Xbox
